USA: Wrench Smashes Through Windshield, Claims Life of Alabama Woman
An Alabama woman tragically lost her life earlier this month when a wrench shattered through the windshield of a car she was traveling in. On August 8, Earlie Harris was en route to work with her son, Cedric, on Interstate 65 when the debris struck her.
Cedric Harris reported to WSFA that a wrench suddenly flew through the window, causing his mother to bleed profusely. He immediately pulled over, but Earlie, 58, was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. The wrench’s origin remains unclear, though the family suspects it may have come from a passing truck.
The Montgomery Police Department is continuing its investigation but has yet to release further details. In the search for answers, Harris’ family, supported by Beasley Allen Law Firm, is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the identification of the responsible driver. Attorney LaBarron Boone urges anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the wrench fall to come forward.
